glow - santa monica beach pier and palisades park - dusk to dawn - saturday july 19,2008
- 7:00pm/7:00am - free to the public
Glow is an all-night event of media art, performances, music, and sculpture installations. Both internationally renown
artists and numerous local artists will use the iconic landmark of the Southern California beach as a one-night
studio/gallery, all under the night sky.
Whether you get your brain waves translated onto a LED display or find yourself lost in a Neptunian lair of a surreal
persuasion, please join us on July 19th to spend the night and greet the dawn with others so inclined as to believe
our common spaces can be playful, inspiring, and thought-provoking, not just functional.

Usman Haque Usman Haque
has invented a unique form of interdisciplinary practice that is informed by architecture, interactive media, sculpture and group psychology. HaqueĆs projects invite the audience into a dynamic and responsive conversation that generates an enormous sense of shared experience and joy.
Shih Chieh Huang Shih Chieh Huang
Huang is a magician at taking everyday products and recycling them into mesmerizing, enchanting and slightly unnerving artworks. Huang will be creating a unique environment for Glow: a Neptunian lair along and above the pedestrian and bicycle path beneath the Santa Monica Pier.
